Proud to attend Youth Collective to raise aspirations of young people in Stoke-on-Trent

In March last year, Back On Track Teens and our sister company Spark To Your Success CIC began attending the Stoke-on-Trent Youth Collective.

This fantastic collective has given us the chance to meet like-minded organisations and individuals who also support young people.

Together, we can unite our aspirations of providing help for our young community by connecting and collaborating.

Ahead of the monthly meetings, we met with Ruff & Ruby, an award-winning faith-based charity in Stoke-on-Trent, which engages and empowers young people to recognise their full potential. We felt Ruff & Ruby’s values regarding young people aligned with our own, so we spent two days of training with them before they invited us to join the collective.

Back On Track Teens and Spark To Your Success are now proud to be a part of an energising and inspiring collective, made up of over 70 organisations, including youth workers and youth-focused organisations that meet once a month. We all come together to form partnerships that focus on local youths and how to deliver dynamic youth provisions.

By being welcomed into this incredible collective, we have been able to support other organisations within the collective. It has given us the opportunity to observe, understand, and take inspiration from others. Having such a diverse array of organisations means there are regular events and projects that we can support or get involved in. This allows us to reach even more young people and offer life-changing support when they need it most.

During our time here, we have built some amazing relationships with wonderful organisations that are making positive and encouraging changes to support local young people. As this collective is ongoing, we can’t wait to continue our journey here and see what the future holds.
